What is a BSA Calculator?
A Body Surface Area (BSA) calculator estimates the total surface area of the human body using height and weight. BSA is commonly used in medical and clinical contexts as a reference value, particularly for medication dosing and physiological assessments. It is less influenced by body fat distribution than body weight alone and is used as a general estimation tool.
How to Use the BSA Calculator
- Select Units: Choose Imperial (lb/ft) or Metric (kg/cm) units.
- Enter Your Measurements: Enter your current height and weight.
- Choose a Formula: Select a BSA formula from the list. The Mosteller formula is the most commonly used and is selected by default.
- View Your Result: The calculator displays your estimated Body Surface Area. You can also compare results across different formulas in the comparison section.
